Ken Griffith, representing the Red Deer Golf and Country Club, emerged victorious in the men’s gross division with a stellar two-under score of 70. His impressive play secured a clear lead, outpacing Cliff Williamson of Coyote Golf Course by two strokes. Local talent Robert Weseen of the Olds Golf Club also made a strong showing, finishing sixth with a respectable score of 80.

Ladies Division: Lam Continues Dominance

In the ladies gross division, Celina Lam, a perennial contender from The Canal at Delacour Golf Club, added another triumph to her record. With a composed performance, Lam secured the top spot with a total gross score of 75, maintaining her reputation as a formidable competitor. Cathy Wood and Kristine Schultz of the Olds Golf Club showcased their skills, both finishing with scores of 86, securing second and third places respectively.

Turning to the net divisions, Andrew Clark-Marlow and Peter Innes of RDG&CC, alongside Cliff Williamson of Coyote Creek, shared the spotlight with identical net scores of 73. Clark-Marlow edged into first place, closely followed by Innes. Matt Hoeg of the Olds Golf Club made a noteworthy fourth-place finish with a net score of 76, underscoring the competitive depth of the tournament.

Standout Performances and Achievements

Judy Thompson excelled in the ladies net division, achieving a top finish with a net score of 73, narrowly surpassing Schultz and Lam who both secured net scores of 74. Christina Weseen of the Olds Golf Club rounded off the top three with a commendable net score of 76. The day was further highlighted by Wendel Bistritan’s remarkable hole-in-one on the 13th hole, earning him the distinction of first low gross in the men's second flight.
